The global weighted average LCOE for solar PV is predicted to fall further, reaching USD 0.040/kWh by 2030. (a 58% reduction from 2018)
Offshore wind
With advancements in the complete life cycle of processes, offshore wind is becoming competitive with other renewable energy technologies. IRENA forecasts a central LCOE of USD 0.054/kWh in 2030, an almost 55% decrease from the 2018 LCOE of USD 0.115/kWh
