Locomotives:
Locomotive is defined as a railway vehicle that can move on its own using thermal or electrical traction and whose primary role is to haul other railway vehicles.
Self-propelled vehicles:
Self-propelled vehicles are composed of one or more vehicles that, while in operation, constitute a non-deformable train and are equipped with thermal or electrical propulsion, allowing them to move independently.
Cars:
Cars are railway vehicles that do not have their own traction and are used in conjunction with other cars to convey passengers.
Wagons:
Wagons are railway vehicles that do not have their own traction and are used to move goods. Special rail vehicles are regarded to be part of this category. Such vehicles are thought to be especially constructed for rail transport and, as a result of their unusual dimensions or masses, need special traffic conditions.
Auxiliary rolling stock:
Auxiliary rolling stock are defined as railway vehicles that are specifically authorized for tasks such as track supervision, reconnaissance, and maintenance of the track and its fixed installations, such as track machinery, rescue vehicles, workshop trains, and motor vehicles adapted to run on railways.
