SMART GRID

The deployment of smart grids is one of the three main thematic areas within the Trans-European Energy Networks (TEN-E), which works to encourage the uptake of renewable energy in the European energy market and enables users to better manage their energy consumption.

"Smartgrid" refers to the smart electrical network, which is a system of transmission lines, substations, transformers and more elements that bring energy from the power station to every house and facilities. The electrical grid is more than just production and communication structure. It constitutes the system of asset owners, makers, service suppliers, and administration officials in Federal, government, and local levels, all running together to get one of the most reliable electrical grids in the world.

The Bureau of energy (OE) is working with its public and individual partners to enhance, change, and improve energy structure to secure access to trustworthy, safe, and clean sources of energy.

Nowadays, the energy disruption, e.g., the blackout would take a domino effect-a series of failures that may affect finance, communication, and safety. The smart grid can bring resiliency to our electrical power System and make it better prepared to address emergencies, e.g., intense storms, earthquakes, massive solar flares, and violent attacks.

Because of its two-way interactive production, this Smart network can provide an automatic rerouting when equipment breaks or outages happen. This can decrease outages and lessen the consequences when they do occur. When the power outage occurs, Smart network technologies can discover and divide those outages, containing them before they turn into large-scale blackouts.
